Proactive Coping Psychoeducation

What is Proactive Coping?

Proactive coping emerges once social and psychological resources are acquired. Social resources involve support such as advocacy and psychological resources bolster resilience. Once resources are obtained, stressors can be recognized and considered. By acknowledging and assessing stressors, individuals can apply preliminary proactive coping attempts. Once these attempts occur, eliciting feedback on using resources and initial efforts towards proactive coping solidify adaptive coping behaviors to prevent future stressors.
